WSP investigates double fatality accident on I-82 near Beech St.

YAKIMA, WA – Washington State Patrol is investigating a car accident on Interstate 82 westbound near Beech St that killed two people on Tuesday morning.
Traffic alert in Yakima: WSP is investigating a double fatality crash on W/B I-82 near the Beech St. overpass. @WSDOT_East has a detour set up W/B at the Nob Hill exit. ETA to open W/B is approx. one hour.

According to WSP Trooper Thorson, Troopers arrived on the scene of the accident at around 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Officials closed the westbound lanes near the accident and established a detour at Nob Hill.
Officers did not release more information about the cause of the accident or the identities of the victims.
