Wrong-way driver wrecks car along I-405 in Kirkland

KIRKLAND, WA — A man driving in the wrong direction along Interstate 405 was involved in a single-car accident on Monday morning in Kirkland, according to KOMO News.
The Washington State Patrol reported that the man had struck his car into a concrete barrier near 128th Street. Troopers and medics were called to the scene upon reports about a car traveling north in the southbound lanes.
Authorities discovered the car wrecked at the barrier. The man appeared to be suffering from a mental crisis and was taken in to be evaluated following the incident. No major physical injuries were reported.
