EVERETT, WA – A woman who was test-driving a vehicle from an auto dealership caused a multi-vehicle collision on the 300 block of SE Everett Mall Way on Tuesday.

According to My Everett News and Everett police, the 42-year-old woman was test-driving a Hyundai Elantra. A 39-year-old employee from the dealership was in the passenger seat with her. Both were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center with serious injuries after the accident.

The woman in the Hyundai was driving recklessly and rear-ended a Chevrolet pickup truck, pushing it across the intersection and forcing it to roll on its side. The pickup truck struck a utility pole in the process, which fell on top of an unoccupied vehicle.

The driver of the pickup truck and his 10-year-old daughter sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

It is not clear whether the driver of the Hyundai will face charges.
