Wildfire in Olympic National Park only 15% contained
Request Free ConsultationPORT ANGELES, WA – Firefighters are working to contain a 65-acre fire burning inside Olympic National Park near Lake Crescent, according to KOMO News.
As of August 1, the fire—which officials believe was caused by a person—is 15% contained.
Firefighters say they were first alerted to the fire around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Heavy winds had been forcing the fire uphill on the south-facing slope of Lake Crescent.
The Western Washington Type 3 Incident Management team is the specialized firefighting team in charge of controlling the fire.
