Wapato, Washington (February 23, 2020) – A Wapato police car crashed into a residence on the 2700 block of Konnowac Pass Road on Sunday night. According to the report from KIMA News, the driver was not severely injured and had chipped a tooth. No other injuries were reported in the incident, but the vehicle was reported to have been severely damaged. According to information from the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office the off-duty police officer was heading towards Wapato around 8 p.m. when his vehicle went off-road and crashed into the residence. Speed was determined to be a factor in the crash.
