UPDATE: Seattle Fire Dept Unable to determine cause of Thursday fire
Request Free ConsultationSEATTLE, WA – The Seattle Fire Department declared the cause of the second-degree fire at 815 South Weller St. last Thursday as “undetermined,” according to a press release.
The Seattle Fire Department said in a statement that the June 25 fire in the International District started around 4:35 a.m. that morning.
The Deputy Chief of SFD dispatched nine fire engines and additional support at 4:42 a.m. when firefighters discovered the ceiling and floors were unstable.
Parts of the third floor and the roof of the building collapsed completely, but firefighters got the flames under control by 6:34 a.m. with no injuries reported.
The fire investigation is still ongoing, but at this time, investigators do not believe it was arson.
