Update: 26- and 27-year-old victims of crash near Gig Harbor

PIERCE COUNTY, WA – A 26-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man were the victims of an Artondale car accident near Gig Harbor on Saturday evening.
According to the News Tribune, the woman was driving on 40th Street Northwest when she lost control near 83rd Street NW at about 8 p.m. The vehicle landed 10 feet down an embankment after running up the guidewire of a utility pole and hitting two trees.
Both parties died at the scene. Their names have not yet been released.
Why the driver lost control remains unclear.
