Two men injured in suspected DWI crash in Anacortes

ANACORTES, WA – Two 22-year-old men were taken to the hospital last night following a car crash in Anacortes that was possibly related to intoxicated driving.
According to the Bellingham Herald, the accident happened at 11:55 p.m. at 12885 Casino Drive. A 51-year-old man from Bellingham operating a 1988 Chevrolet GMT 400 drove into the pathway of the victims, who were the occupants of a BMW 528.
The two men were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The other driver was not injured in the collision.
According to the report, intoxicated driving is presumed to have caused the collision. Authorities are considering the possibility of pressing charges.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
