GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, WA — A 12-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man were injured Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision on state Route 12 near Malone, according to The Daily World.

The accident happened on SR-12 at the Gore Avenue intersection shortly before 4:00 p.m.

The Washington State Patrol said a 41-year-old Cosmopolis man was driving westbound on SR-12 when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection. The Cosmopolis driver then struck the rear-passenger side of a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Pacific Beach man who was on Gore Avenue at the highway.

A 12-year-old boy, one of four passengers in the causing vehicle, was injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital for “precautionary measures,” suggesting minor injuries.

WSP said the Pacific beach man was also injured but turned down aid. They also reported the man was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license.
