Two dead after high-speed crash in Tacoma neighborhood

TACOMA, WA – Two people died Thursday night after a vehicle collided with a parked car in the city’s Fern Hill neighborhood.
South Sound News reported that one person was sitting in a parked car in the 8800 block of South Park Avenue when another vehicle lost control and slammed into them at a high rate of speed. Tacoma Fire had to cut at least one person out of the mangled wreck. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances surrounding this crash are still unknown, and the victims’ names have not been released. The Tacoma Police Collision Investigation team is investigating.
