Toppenish, Washington – Four Dead, Three injured in Car-Truck Collision at US 97Request Free Consultation
Toppenish, Washington (May 7, 2019) – Four people were killed and three were injured in a car-truck collision at the US 97 on early Tuesday morning. The four were passengers of the car killed by the impact of the collision. Another passenger had to be transported by helicopter to Virginia Mason Memorial in Yakima, while the car driver was taken to the Astria Regional Medical Center. The truck driver suffered minor injuries, but was not reported to require hospitalization.
According to one of the officers on the scene, the car sped through a stop sign on Larue Road, which then rammed the semi truck going south. It is believed that the car driver was possibly driving while under the influence. No one has been charged or arrested in the accident, but the FBI is reportedly taking on the investigation.
