Tacoma, Washington – Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Getting Struck by Train

Tacoma, Washington (October 10, 2019) – A pedestrian was reported to be in critical condition after getting struck by train no. 1523 2 miles east of the Tacoma Station on Thursday evening. She has been taken to a local hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported in the accident.

According to the report the train had left King Street Station in Seattle around 5:45 p.m., with the train colliding with the victim around 6:40 p.m. The accident caused the train to be temporarily stopped at the sit, and another train was held up at the Puyallup Station. However, Sound Transit was reported to have provided buses to get passengers.
