Tacoma, Washington – Interstate 5 Blocked After Car-Truck Collision

 Tacoma, Washington (November 14, 2019) – A collision occurred between a semi truck and a car on the Port of Tacoma southbound Interstate 5 ramp on Thursday night. After the collision, the driver of the car was found to have fired several shots into the truck but fortunately no one was injured in the collision or struck by the shots. The car driver has been taken into custody.

According to the report from the Washington State Patrol, the semi truck rear-ended the car. The cause and circumstances of the collision has not yet been reported.

Of those accidents, 525 were fatal and 34, 311 were possible or suspected of injuries. In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
