Tacoma, Washington – Hit-and-Run Crash Blocks Lanes at South Sheridan Avenue and South 56th Street

Tacoma, Washington (April 11, 2020) – A hit and run crash occurred at South 56th Street and South Sheridan Avenue on Saturday. According to an article from KIRO 7 News, there were no injuries reported in the incident. The suspect attempted to flee the scene but was later arrested. The cause and circumstances of the incident has not yet been reported, but the suspect was also believed to be responsible for a crash at South 40th Street and South G Street. The incident caused all lanes of South Sheridan Avenue and South 56th Street to be blocked while investigation was ongoing.

In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
