Tacoma, Washington – Fatal Motorcycle Crash on I-5

Tacoma, Washington (March 29, 2019) – A 44 year-old motorcyclist died after being struck by another vehicle at milepost 132 on Interstate 5, near South M Street on Friday afternoon. The motorcyclist was slowing down in an attempt to change lanes when he was struck by another vehicle. According to the troopers, the motorcyclist died on the scene.

Troopers responded to the incident after 1 p.m. According to investigation, the downed rider might have been struck by another driver who fled the scene. The details of the crash are under investigation. All northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 were closed due to this accident. The lanes opened again after 3 p.m.
