Suspect stole police vehicle, crashes into another car in Auburn

AUBURN, WA – A male suspect stole a Tacoma police officer’s patrol vehicle before crashing into another vehicle on Military Rd South in Auburn on Monday.
King 5 reports that Tacoma police were initially responding to a car theft at 1200 North Pearl Street. It was at that time that the suspect stole one of the officer’s patrol cars. The suspect took the car onto SR 16 and I-5 before crashing into another car at 27400 Military Road South.
The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by a K-9 officer. It is not clear whether anyone was injured when the suspect crashed into the other car.
