Semi accident spills gas over roadway on I-5 near 72nd St
Request Free ConsultationTACOMA, WA – The Washington State Patrol responded to a semi truck accident that led to a gasoline spill on southbound I-5 north of 72nd Street at about noon on Friday.

According to WSP District 1 PIO Trooper Robert Reyer, the semi hit metal debris in the roadway, which ruptured its fuel tank and spilled gasoline onto the roadway. Fire crews and the Department of Ecology joined WSP in responding to the incident, which blocked the right lane until shortly after 1:30 p.m.
We do not know whether anyone was injured in the collision. However, we will update this blog should more information become available.
