SEABECK, WA – Heiko, the Kitsap County police dog, helped catch a drunk driving suspect who was hiding in the woods after crashing into a gas station Sunday.

According to KOMO News, the suspect crashed his GMC SUV into a Chevron gas station on Seabeck Highway on Sunday morning.

The suspect drove east to Sesame Street, where he ditched his car and fled into the nearby woods.

Police brought K-9 Heiko to the scene, where he quickly sniffed out the suspect, who surrendered.

The suspect is facing charges of felony DUI (as this is his fifth one in 10 years), hit and run, and driving with a suspended license. His identity has not yet been released.
