Pedestrian injured, dog killed by driver who fled scene of Lynnwood crash

LYNNWOOD, WA – A pedestrian was injured and her dog was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Lynnwood on Friday night, according to MyEdmondsNews.
The crash occurred in the area of 188th Street and 52nd Avenue W at about 5:30 p.m., as the victim was walking her dog.
The driver of a dark SUV collided with her and the dog, then fled the scene.
The victim, a 50-year-old woman who has yet to be publicly identified, was taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The dog died as a result of the collision.
Authorities are investigating the accident and searching for the driver at this time.
