LEAVENWORTH, WA – A man was killed Sunday morning in a parasailing accident about five miles northeast of the town of Leavenworth, the Seattle Times reports.
The crash happened near milepost 4 of Eagle Creek Road, at about 10:16 a.m. on March 14. The location of the crash—about 1,000 feet above the road—made it difficult for emergency services to respond to the incident.
Other parasailors on the scene performed CPR until paramedics arrived at the scene. They transported the man to Cascade Medical Center, where he evidently died.
The victim’s identity is being withheld until his family can be notified. He has been described only as a 42-year-old from Leavenworth.
