One person hospitalized after fire on Long Lake in Port Orchard

PORT ORCHARD, WA — One person was reported injured Wednesday evening after a fire broke out aboard a pleasure craft on Long Lake in Port Orchard, according to Kitsap Daily News.
Crews with South Kitsap Fire and Rescue responded and quickly extinguished the blaze at Port Orchard’s Long Lake boat launch located at 4351 Southeast Brook Street. It is unclear exactly when or how the fire started on the vessel.
A spokesperson with SKFR said firefighters transported the injured person to a regional trauma center. The extent of the person’s injuries has not been disclosed.
No other information has been reported about the incident.
