One killed in house fire near Tacoma’s Eastside neighborhood

TACOMA, WA — One person died Thursday morning in a house fire near the Eastside neighborhood in Tacoma, according to KIRO 7 News.
Fire crews responded to the scene in the 4600 block of East B Street the morning of the incident to find a significant fraction of the residence engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were able to evacuate one person from the house, but one other person died as a result of the event.
No information was shared on whether or not the rescued person suffered any injuries.
The identities of those involved have not been disclosed, and the cause of fire has not been reported.
An investigation remains underway.
