KING COUNTY, WA — At least one person was hurt Wednesday morning in a rollover crash involving a semi and a cement truck off State Route 169 near Maple Valley, reports KIRO 7 News.

Renton Fire Department reported the accident at 140th Way Southeast and SR-169 (Renton-Maple Valley Highway) at approximately 10:45 a.m.

According to Renton Police, both trucks ended up overturned on their sides after the cement truck rammed through a barrier.

Authorities have not confirmed how many people were hurt, but only minor injuries were reported. It was unclear whether anyone required transport to a hospital.

The event knocked over multiple traffic signal poles and caused a large volume of cement and fuel to spill onto the roadway.

All westbound lanes of SR-169 toward Renton were shut down as a hazmat team responded to the spill and authorities investigated the crash.

Eastbound lanes remained open, but drivers were asked to avoid the area due to heavy traffic jams.
