One hurt in pedestrian accident near Renton’s Valley Medical Center

KING COUNTY, WA — One person was seriously injured Thursday night in a pedestrian accident in front of Valley Medical Center near south Renton, reports KIRO 7 News.
Renton Police Department reported the incident near the corner of Talbot Road South and South Carr Road shortly before 9:16 p.m.
No details have been shared on the circumstances behind the crash, but witnesses at the scene said the pedestrian appeared to cross the road before oncoming traffic.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Their condition remains undisclosed.
Motorists were asked to detour around the area as authorities conducted an investigation.
