Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries after possible DUI crash

PUYALLUP, WA – Police are investigating a crash in the 1100 block of River Road in which an elderly driver turned left into the path of an oncoming motorcyclist, resulting in a crash that sent the motorcyclist to the hospital.
The 76-year-old female driver was heading eastbound on River Rd when she turned left in front of the westbound motorcycle, which was operated by a man in his 60s. Police believe the female driver may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to KOMO.
Central Pierce Fire and Rescue rushed the motorcyclist to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The man’s current condition is unknown.
