SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a single-vehicle motorcycle accident on Interstate 5 near Stanwood, according to KOMO News.
Washington State Patrol said the motorcyclist was traveling north on I-5 when his bike traveled off the roadway and crossed into the median near the southbound lanes.
The rider was transported to Everett’s Providence Hospital with serious injuries.
The incident blocked the left lane on I-5 southbound and created delays in the area as authorities and a tow truck responded to the scene.
At 7:23 p.m., Trooper Rocky Oliphant reported that alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the crash.
