Motorcyclist injured by truck turning from Belfair driveway

BELFAIR, WA – A 27-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital after a crash with a pickup truck in Belfair in the afternoon on Wednesday.
Local news reports, the rider was northbound on State Route 3 when he was struck by the driver of a pickup truck at about 3 p.m. The 50-year-old driver of the truck was making a left out of his driveway when he struck the biker.
The driver and passengers were not injured, however, the Lakebay motorcyclist was. He was transported to Harrison Silverdale Hospital.
The pickup’s driver, a Belfair resident, has been charged with failure to yield.
