TACOMA, WA — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Wednesday night after a high-speed crash into another vehicle near state Route 16 in Tacoma, according to KOMO News.

Police and emergency medics responded to the scene on South Sprague Avenue near the onramp to SR-16. The incident was first reported by Washington State Patrol Trooper Robert Reyer at 9:30 p.m.

Authorities said the rider was speeding southbound down South Sprague Avenue when he struck another car, causing him to eject from the bike and fly over the barrier, landing in SR-16’s westbound HOV lane.
