EVERETT, WA — A 73-year-old man died Thursday evening after a single-vehicle motorcycle collision on Interstate 5 southbound in Everett, according to HeraldNet.

The man, a Marysville resident, was traveling in the southbound lanes of I-5 near the exit to 41st Street when his motorcycle struck the left-shoulder guardrail. The rider was ejected from his bike, which traveled across all southbound lanes until it came to a rest on the right shoulder.

The man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, where he succumbed to his injuries.
