KENT, WA – A 36-year-old motorcyclist from SeaTac is dead after crashing into a tree Sunday afternoon, according to the Kent Reporter.

The accident occurred around 3:15 Sunday in the 25900 block of 144th Avenue SE in Kent.

Puget Sound Fire performed first aid on the man, but he died at the scene.

Kent Police said the motorcyclist was driving northbound on 144th Ave. when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with the tree. Police believe speed was likely a factor in the crash since the posted speed limit in that area is 25 mph.

The accident is still under investigation, and the victim’s name and other details have not yet been released.
