Morning car fire blocks Interstate 405 lanes in Renton

RENTON, WA – Firefighters were on the scene of a vehicle fire on Interstate 405 in the Renton area early on Monday morning, according to WSDOT.
The engine of an SUV caught for in the northbound lanes of I-405 near State Route 169 around 6 a.m.
Emergency crews responded to the scene where the front half of the car was up in flames on the righthand side of the road.
Two lanes were blocked while the fire was knocked back. Traffic slowed in the remaining lanes until the incident was cleared shortly before 7 a.m.
