Montesano, Washignton (January 1, 2020) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 12 at Monte Brady Road on Wednessday. According to the report from KXRO News Radio, the injured were driver and two passengers from the car that failed to yield right of way. All patients were taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. No further word has been given regarding their condition. The driver in the other vehicle was unhurt.

According to the report, the car with the three occupants in it attempted to cross the westbound lanes of Highway 12 onto Monte Brady Road. The car then turned in front of the second vehicle, and in the collision the two vehicles were sent off road. The driver of the first vehicle has been cited for failure to yield right of way and driving without insurance.

In 2017, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT)  have reported a total of 120, 993 car accidents. Of those accidents, 525 were fatal and 34, 311 were possible or suspected of injuries. In rollover collisions, the car will come to rest on its side or roof, resulting in a dangerous situation which passengers might need to be extricated from. In side collisions, the greatest risk comes to the passenger on the particular side that received the impact. No matter the type of accident, all crashes are bound to cause a dreadful situation for all involved.
