Mercedes crashed head-on into pole, 1 sent to hospital

FERNDALE, WA – One person was transported to a local hospital after the Mercedes they were traveling in crashed into a utility pole on the 2300 block of Douglas Road on Saturday.
According to My Ferndale News, the Mercedes veered off the road for an unknown reason around 3:30 p.m. The impact caused severe damage to the pole and left about 300 people in the area without power for a short time.
The victim was taken to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center on “advanced life support protocol.” There are no updates on their condition.
Ferndale Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
