Man injured in two-car crash after falling asleep at wheel on US-12

LEWIS COUNTY, WA — A man had to be extricated from his vehicle Wednesday morning after a crash with a pickup truck on U.S. Highway 12 in Lewis County, according to Chronline.

Crews with Lewis County Fire Protection District 5 responded to the accident near milepost 69 at around 5:00 a.m.

The man required extrication from his car before he was able to be airlifted to Harboview Medical Center. His condition was not disclosed.

The driver of the pickup truck was not reported injured in the crash.

No further information has been reported at this time.
