Man fatally struck by semi-truck while walking on I-90 in North Bend

KING COUNTY, WA — A 28-year-old man was killed Sunday morning after being hit by a semi-truck on Interstate 90 in North Bend, reports Living Snoqualmie.

Washington State Patrol responded to the scene on I-90 eastbound near milepost 43 shortly after 6:38 a.m.

A preliminary investigation shows the pedestrian was walking in the far left lane of the interstate moments before he was struck by an eastbound 2017 semi-truck.

Authorities said the man, a resident of Kent, died from his injuries at the scene.

It is unclear at this time why the man was on the interstate. WSP noted he had been wearing dark clothing at the time.

The driver was not reported injured and was not suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
