SEATTLE, WA — A 38-year-old man was killed early Monday by a hit-and-run driver in north Seattle’s Green Lake area, according to KIRO 7 News.

The crash happened in the 8000 block of Corliss Avenue North shortly before 2:00 a.m.

Few details have been reported on the circumstances behind the incident, but a witness at the scene said the suspect vehicle, a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, struck two pedestrians. The driver failed to stop and render aid and was seen fleeing eastbound on North 80th Street.

Seattle Fire crews arrived to find the adult male victim deceased at the scene.

A 17-year-old male victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with major injuries. No other details have been shared on his condition.

Authorities said they are working to determine whether or not a ride-share scooter found near the crash site is connected to the incident.

An investigation by Seattle Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigations Squad was underway.
