Man dies after scooter crash with semi truck in Kent

KENT, WA — A man died from injuries sustained in an electric scooter crash with a semi truck Tuesday afternoon in Kent, according to Kent Reporter.

The incident happened near Washington Avenue North and West Meeker Street at around 2:20 p.m.

Kent Police say witnesses sighted the man on the scooter driving in traffic erratically and not appearing to notice the semi making a right turn onto Washington Avenue South from West Meeker Street.

The man was alive and communicating with police and Puget Sound Fire crew but succumbed to his injuries on scene.

The driver of the semi truck remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
