Man dies after hit-and-run crash involving stolen vehicle in Tacoma

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A 22-year-old man was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle collision with a hit-and-run driver in Tacoma, reports KOMO News.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the incident, but authorities said a stolen pickup truck crashed into the victim’s car on Portland Avenue at approximately 10:15 p.m.

Police confirmed the young man died from his injuries.

The causing driver fled the scene in the pickup truck. Authorities later learned the pickup had been stolen in October.

An investigation into the incident and a search for the suspect driver was underway.
