COVINGTON, WA – A serious collision has blocked all westbound lanes of SR-18 at SR-516, the Washington Department of Transportation reports.
If you’re getting ready to head out in east King County, remember all lanes of WB SR 18 at SR 516 are still blocked by an earlier serious collision. This is going to take some time.

While it is not clear at this time when the collision occurred, it is apparently still blocking all westbound lanes as of 7:03 a.m., and will likely affect traffic throughout eastern King County. The Department further suggests that an estimate on a clearance time is not available, and that commuters should avoid the area if possible.
We will update this blog if we learn more about the collision itself.
