King County Sheriff’s Deputy dies after Aug. 30 crash

SEATTLE, WA – The King County Sheriff’s deputy who suffered a stroke and crashed into a parked car, killing the woman inside, died of his injuries on Monday.

This is an update to a previously reported story.

According to Q13 Fox, Deputy Reggie Thomas has been hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center since Aug. 30. The accident happened on Airport Way South and South Doris Street.

The victim of the initial accident, Sarah Leyrer was a local lawyer who had been waiting in the vehicle while a loved one was inside a nearby store.
