Jogger killed in apparent hit-and-run near church in Maple Valley

MAPLE VALLEY, WA — A man in his 50s was killed early Sunday morning in what detectives believe to have been a hit-and-run crash near New Community Church in Maple Valley, according to KOMO News.
Authorities said the man’s body was discovered near the church at 21401 244th Avenue Southeast. It was determined that the man had been jogging when he was struck and killed by a vehicle at approximately 5:00 a.m.
Detectives are actively searching for the suspected driver.
As of Sunday, the sheriff’s department is asking anyone with information on the incident to call the tip line at 206-296-3311.
