SEATTLE, WA — Injuries were reported Tuesday morning after a vehicle collision in the Belltown neighborhood of central Seattle, according to Seattle Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to the incident near the intersection of Elliot Avenue and Wall Street south of Olympic Sculpture Park at around 9:06 a.m.

Crews were alerted of a collision involving possible entrapment that would require an extrication response. The response was later downgraded and a rescue extrication was not required.

Minor injuries were reported, though the number of people injured has not been confirmed.

Motorists were encouraged to detour around the area to avoid delays as a number of emergency vehicles blocked the roadway.
