Impaired driver crashes into WSP motorcycle on I-405 NB in Bellevue
Request Free ConsultationKING COUNTY, WA — A suspected DUI driver was arrested Tuesday morning after crashing into a stopped Washington State Patrol motorcycle on Interstate 405 northbound in Bellevue, according to Trooper Rick Johnson with WSP.

The incident took place along the northbound lanes of I-405 just north of the merge to state Route 520. It was reported by Trooper Johnson at 7:46 a.m.
A WSP motorcycle trooper was stopped on the left shoulder of the highway during a traffic stop when a vehicle drove onto the shoulder and struck his bike. The crash pushed the bike against the van the trooper had just stopped.
No injuries have been reported in the incident.
The causing driver was placed under custody for suspected impairment and the left toll lane was shut down as an investigation was conducted.
