BONNEY LAKE, WA – A driver suspected of hitting a Bonney Lake police officer in a grocery store parking lot and fleeing in a stolen car has been arrested, KOMO reports.
The suspect, Kenneth Whiteman, 24, reportedly hit the officer at a Fred Meyer store on the 20900 block of State Route 410 last Tuesday. Whiteman was driving a stolen car and the officer attempted to question him. While fleeing the officer, Whiteman hit him with the car. At some point, shots were fired, but it is not clear who fired them.
