KIRKLAND, WA – A float plane flipped over on Tuesday morning after its pilot landed it in Lake Washington. A passing boat rescued the pilot uninjured.
According to KOMO News, Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond, and Seattle marine units responded to the accident off Yarrow Point to assist in towing the plane back to shore.
The accident occurred around 7:45 a.m., but luckily the pilot, who was the only one on board, escaped injury.
Officials believe the plane flipped because its wheels were extended during the landing.
