Fircrest, Washington (December 8, 2019) – A chase involving a burglary suspect ended in a rollover crash down an embankment at the intersection of Emerson Street and South Orchard Avenue on early Sunday morning. Responding deputies on scene pulled the suspect out of the vehicle, and the suspect was later taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The incident started after 4:30 a.m. when deputies responded to an alarm at a liquor store on 19th Street West. Officers found a suspicious vehicle leave the parking lot and gave chase, which ended when the suspect struck an embankment. This caused his vehicle to be launched into the air and land on its top side in a dirt lot. The suspect has been booked into jail on suspicion of attempted burglary and felony eluding.
