Evacuation order lifted after car crash, gas leak at White Center building

WHITE CENTER, WA — An evacuation order was lifted Friday evening after a vehicle crashed through a building and severed a gas line in downtown White Center, according to KOMO News.
The collision happened at 16th Avenue Southwest and Southwest 98th Street at around 6:00 p.m.
A driver was said to have lost control of their vehicle, though no further details about the cause or circumstances around the crash have been shared.
Authorities have not reported any injuries in the event.
Drivers in the area were advised to take alternate routes as crews worked to repair the gas line and ensure public safety.
