Driver of stolen SUV evades police, crashes into King County Metro bus
Request Free ConsultationSEATTLE, WA – Police apprehended the driver of a stolen vehicle after the suspect crashed into a King County Metro bus while fleeing police Monday night.
A police officer pulled over an SUV after the driver ran a red light. When the officer stepped out of his vehicle to approach the driver, the suspect drove away. Shortly after, the vehicle slammed into a bus at the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Dearborn.
The bus driver was the only person inside the bus and was not hurt. The suspect and his passenger both sustained minor injuries.
The 39-year-old driver was booked into King County Jail on a number of charges, including DUI and driving a stolen vehicle.
