GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, WA — A 59-year-old Tukwila man was injured Tuesday afternoon after falling asleep at the wheel of a semi-truck on state Route 12 in Central Park, according to KXRO.
Washington State Patrol said the man was driving a semi with an attached trailer westbound on SR-12 shortly before 3:00 when the truck veered to the right edge of the road near Bryrwood Drive.
The semi then overturned on its side, fully blocking both westbound lanes.
The driver was taken to Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital with injuries, though the extent of his condition was not revealed.
WSP said the man was charged with negligent driving.
