Driver crashes into disabled semi on US-2 Trestle WB in Everett

EVERETT, WA — A suspected DUI driver was hospitalized Monday night after driving into the rear of a disabled semi-truck on US Route 2 Trestle westbound in Everett, according to KOMO News.

The incident occurred in the westbound lanes of US-2 Trestle near Home Ares Road, also known as 43rd Avenue Southeast. It was first reported at 10:57 p.m. by Trooper Rocky Oliphant with Washington State Patrol.

WSP said the suspected driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The semi-truck driver was not reported injured.

All westbound traffic was diverted off the freeway and through Home Acres Road as troopers investigated the crash.
